We’ll be sharing a bill this Friday night in Portland with our trumpeter Chad McCullough’s own project featuring a great guest over in the U.S. this month from Holland: Slovak-born pianist Michal Vanoucek. Chad, Michal, and Andrew all attended the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music in Canada in 2009. After that, Chad joined the Kora Band and also began working on a new album with Michal, which has just been released. This will be the Portland CD Release concert for their new album as well as featuring music from our new album “Cascades.” Hope you can make it down!
