After a solid year of preparation, we’re very excited to have finished up a wonderful two-week stint of performance and recording. We premiered our 2012 Chamber Music America New Jazz Works commission “New Traditions” with really fun and full performances in Portland, Olympia, and Seattle and spent a week in the wonderful Kung Fu Bakery studio in Portland tracking the music for our new album. Many thanks to CMA and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation for funding the new music. Stay tuned for details by signing up on our mailing list to the right.
We’re also featured on Seattle’s KCTS9 for their arts and culture program PIE this week performing the song “Teriyaa,” one of the new pieces we just recorded. There’s a little interview with Andrew and Kane and the video looks great. Check it out here.
Our 2010 album “Cascades” is still available as well on the “Listen/Buy” page as well as some newer live audio for download.
so glad to meet you on PIE tonight. I’ll be keeping an eye on you from now on. You’re wonderful.
Love the video! I am not familiar with the Kora at all. It sounds like a cross between a harp and a twelve string guitar, oddly enough. Enjoyed listening to your work.
